A Spectacle of Change

The little one is changing. Obviously, her vocabulary is growing, but often, I can't put my finger on what is different than yesterday, for example, but I can still sense it. I know she's changing but I can't always say how. Is she sitting on my lap longer and listening to the story more? I think so. Sunglasses are one small indication but sure indication though. Not long ago, she wouldn't wear them, but now she does: even puts them on herself. Not long ago, she would put them on upside down. Suddenly, they go on right side up.

What doesn't change is just how much I love this kid.

You know, in that second picture, I can absolutely see the intensity of that love.

AC,

Everytime I see a photo of you and Nikki Dee, I can see the love that you both have for each other. It's obvious that she adores you and also that you love her wholeheartedly. They do change and before you know it, she will be off to school. Treasure these days with her.

Blessings,
Mary

I know the feeling. She will probably love that photo when she's grown up.

It always used to surprise me when I'd suddenly recognize that something had changed in one of my kids and I hadn't noticed the process of change.

She's a lucky girl.

One of the things I love best about being a grandparent is that I have the leisure time to sit back and be more observant of the subtle changes... and they happen on almost a daily basis.
