No Prints of the Princess

Get it: prints, princess?

Sometimes the little things in life really bite. Yes, there's all the joy of Smudge, but when I tried to print some pics, I found that my printer had taken a turn for the worse. It did this once before, but much finagling got it working (more or less) up until now, but now I'm done with with it, I tell ya. Done.

It would be somewhat cheaper to order a new head (for the printer, silly, not for me), but an extra hundred bucks or so would buy me a new machine with newer technology, so that's probably what I'll do. Reluctantly.

Meanwhile, remind me to stop kicking the wall. Not only does it smart more than a tad, but I'm also not being a good role model for my young granddaughter. I've got to start watching myself. Eh?

Is there anything more frustrating to a grandparent than not being able to produce pictures of the little princess.. I think not!! A new printer is definitely needed. :-)

Stop kicking the wall. You could hurt the wall :0) You've earned the new printer and after all it's going to get a lot of use.

Hope your printing predicament is solved soon...I know how much grandparents like to show off their offspring's offspring....my mother carries a photo album in her purse where ever she goes!

You will love the new technology and you deserve it!

This is why grandfathers always sound so forgetful: when you kick the wall you start with “that printer is a piece …” and then can’t finish the sentence.

If you want to set a good example for the little one start by stop using "eh!" This Canadianism seems to be really prevalent in the Ottawa Valley. I had an instructor from there who used it after every word. There never lived such a tentative man. It took me ten years of living in the US to rid myself of this expletive.

I am sure you will find lots more and possibly more harmful ways to corrupt the darling. That is what grandparents are for.

I'm just catching up from the weekend...Smudge is the most beautiful baby! With enough hair for ribbons.

I say a new printer, you've got granddaughter pics to print, by the millions!

Wow, that is what I get for being busy a few days - I miss the whole birthing and everything. Photos are great, really like the one with you and the Smudge head-to-head. Congrats, Grandpaw! ec

"finagling"... haven't heard that word in... forever, let alone seen it used in print. Ah, that takes me back... to a time when my Dad used to say, "Gosh, I haven't seen that in donkey's years!"

OK, I'm old before my time.

It takes some getting used to, but we seem to live in a society that is hell-bent on "just throw it away and get another one".

Me, I'm focused more on the "throw it away" part. Too much stuff around here - it boggles the mind.

Speaking of new technology, perhaps you should get a data projector and a wall-screen. That way you can enjoy a larger-than-life smudge when your printer is down.
