Buildings from Bicycles

Two local buildings as seen from our little bicycle jaunts. The first lies on golf course while the second seems to serve as a cottage on the lake.

What an odd structure. We had an octagon house (brick) in my home town but this looks like it started out to be one thing and changed its mind half way through. And it doesn't have enough side anyway.

Whenever I see an old building, especially like the first one, I wonder about the history of it, why it was built, if anyone actually lived in it, was anyone born in it and were they happy. Good photos. ec

I've restarted my computer several times, and your text here, for me, is unreadable. It is blurred and very tiny...I've noticed that my text on Flitzy and other Blogger sites is also smaller than usual. Is blogger having difficulty, or is something wrong with my computer? Anyone else encountering this change?

Your photos look great, though....

I talked to my son - he had changed the font size...so, back to normal. Whew.

Just have to ask....

The new profile pic, did you do that on purpose or is it true what they say about a person looking like their pet?

LOL, it killed me!

It must be wonderful to be once more out and about on your bike and so early in the season.

I love old buildings! I was chatting over coffee with a long-time friend yesterday about old stuff. He was talking about an old restaurant - Ye Ol' Spaghetti Factory - which has now relocated and I think even become a chain... sad... anyway, when we were wee, they used to show silent movies on the upper floor of this restaurant. He was remarking that what he remembered most was the SMELL of the old building... the old wood, the old leather seats... and the french onion soup.
